A Very Special Birthday
Earlier in the summer, my grandma turned 90. Grandma (my mother's mother) is incredibly special to me, a stern but kind woman with remarkable sandwich- and pancake-making abilities. She is also pretty amazing, an incredibly resilient and strong woman who went through a fair bit in her life and somehow carried out her responsibilities without bitterness, and instead has managed to find a lot of joy in life.Anyway, to celebrate this special birthday, my sister's fiance Rob invited us all up to his sister's cabin on the Sunshine Coast to spend a few days away on his boat. Our cousin Davida lives in Wales now but made a special trip with her boyfriend to Vancouver to be here for this family mini-break.
I realize I rarely post pictures of my family and these ones are lovely, so I thought I'd share them.
